I know. Yes, I know. It’s been a while.
This post isn’t an article though, it is an announcement of a new page on vcleat.com that allows you to search eBay listings that have been on my Watch List. The shoes on my Watch List are some of the best vintage shoes on eBay over the past five years.
Use the search if you are researching a pair to buy or sell. Or looking for one that got away. Or just to browse vintage shoes.
A few notes about the search:
- Search operates on completed listings since 2017
- Results will return a match on any word, not all words
- Search words need to be four characters or longer
- For older listings, the “See eBay Listing” button works best on a mobile device with the eBay app installed. The eBay website generally only displays a listing for the past 90 days.
- If you have it, the ebay ItemID works (i.e. 272930718740)
Head to the Watch List Search and search away.

David, thanks to your list I am a happy owner of a pair of AE Leeds in shell cordovan that I paid 69.99 for (shipping included) and restored to total glory. That was my first experience with shell and I would not have been able to do it without the knowledge you share. I am so grateful.
I thought you were going to wait until a whole year had passed before you posted again. I’m only slightly disappointed. I look forward to another restore article. I’ve done several of my own using your techniques and recommended products.
BTW, as I look though some of these old Ebay listings, it’s funny to recognize shoes that apparently you sold. I was looking at one pair of the 93633 shoes that looked especially nice when I recognized the wood decking that is in some of your photos!
This is a great tool. Thanks for providing it!
Nice to see you post again, David. Your watch list is such a useful and interesting tool and this new functionality is the icing on the cake. Very cool of you to share. Thank you.
Some really nice pairs got away over the years. and the prices! but don’t worry, it’s just transitory.
Is it possible to have an “ALL” filter? Whether it be for individual months or years. Would be cool to just see everything.
Not right now but I will keep that in mind for the next round of changes.
You have been a wealth of information. You have also contributed to me owning over 30 pairs of vintage Florsheim shoes!
I am an 11D or even a E depending on the socks. I seems as though you are just a tad larger,….It’s occurred to me that I should get in on some of your shoes that are a bit too small.
Best regards from Portland, Oregon.
You are in good company. I love my 93602 pairs. Occasionally I sell pairs from my collection. Always on ebay though. This is my ebay profile: https://www.ebay.com/usr/kay-haus
